Cryoshipping

From Embryologist to Embryologist

About us

A team of specialists

Our team includes experts who have been working with human gametes and embryos for more than 20 years, both in research and clinical practice.

Cryopreservation methods are constantly evolving and becoming more efficient and safer. The rate of successful thawing of embryos is currently close to 100%, even though all biological processes are stopped during cryopreservation. Moreover, embryos, oocytes or sperm can be stored in liquid nitrogen at -196°C for an almost unlimited time. Proper storage and handling is critical, as even short-term temperature fluctuations can irreversibly destroy embryos or reproductive cells.

We are familiar with both classic and the latest cryopreservation and storage techniques and we have many years of experience in both theoretical principles and practical implementation of vitrification. We are not just couriers, but our team includes embryologists who are trained in cyropreservation techniques and perform them everyday at a professional level. Therefore we know that proper storage and handling of cryopreserved material is absolutely essential for the success of the treatment of infertility.

It is therefore our role, and sometimes our obsession, to think through every step of handling cryopreserved sperm, eggs, embryos or other reproductive tissues during transport and to ensure that the correct and safe conditions are maintained at all times. We guarantee that everything is always precisely prepared in advance to meet the specific needs of each individual transport.

We value our close professional contact with the embryologists at the clinics we cooperate with and we appreciate their willingness and reliability.

How to plan the transport

What needs to be resolved at the clinics when planning the transfer?

You have to inform both clinics.

If you decide to transfer your reproductive cells or tissues to another clinic, you must contact both clinics and inform them of your intention. You will probably have to sign a consent form at both clinics (in most cases, you will have to visit the clinic in person or send a document with a verified signature).

Clinics must exchange information and approve the transfer.

The sending and receiving clinic must exchange information about the samples being transported, verify the appropriate certifications for working with reproductive cells and tissues, and possibly conclude a cooperation agreement. This approval by the clinics that the samples can be sent and that they meet all the requirements for their acceptance at the destination clinic can be time-consuming. For this reason, we recommend that you verify that the clinics have all the necessary information and provide both clinics with as much of each other’s contact information as possible. Once the clinics inform us that everything is ready, we usually arrange the transfer within 2-3 weeks.

Our ordering process is simple!

Our clients are both IVF clinics (Tissue Establishments) and their clients.

The transport order can be arranged directly by the provider(s) of the reproductive cells and tissues or by one of the establishments between which the transport takes place. In both cases we will need your consent to process your personal data in order to obtain the information necessary to plan the transport.

Let us know what we can do for you.

The easiest way to find out what we can do for you is to use our Contact form, which contains all the information we need to prepare a basic quotation. A proposal of the Contract of Carriage will be prepared shortly.

We will find out everything we need to know.

If the proposal is approved, we will find out all the necessary information so that we have an exact specification of the samples that will be included in the shipment and prepare the final Contract of Carriage for your approval.

We will arrange a safe shipment.

After agreeing the terms of the Contract of Carriage and General Transport Conditions, we pickup the cryopreserved material and transport it to its destination with professional care. We carry out the pickup, transportation and handover strictly in person and inform the employees of the receiving clinic about the conditions that must be observed when unloading the material from the transport container.
